Reflexology                            

Reflexology is a gentle healing art which dates back to ancient Egypt and China.  Using precise hand and finger techniques the Reflexologist uses pressure point massage on the feet and hands to restore the flow of energy throughout the entire body and to activate natural healing and balance.  Reflexology is suitable for all ages and throughout every stage of life.  This gentle therapy may bring relief from a wide range of both acute and chronic conditions and has been shown to reduce stress and induce relaxation as well as improving the circulation of both blood and lymph.  It allows the body to balance itself and provide a more efficient removal of toxins and impurities together with strengthening the immune system.

Some specific conditions which have been shown to benefit from Reflexology include:

Arthritis, Blood Pressure, Digestive Problems, Infertility, Insomnia, Joint Pain, Migraine, Sinusitis, Anxiety, Hormonal Problems.

Reiki               

Reiki is a gentle, non-intrusive hands-on healing technique which uses ‘life force energy’ to promote healing and balance, harmonising all aspects of the person.  This holistic healing system, which originated in Japan, enhances the body’s own innate ability to heal itself on all levels and helps restore balance and harmony to the mind, body and spirit. It has many beneficial effects including relaxation, stress reduction and a feeling of peace and well being.

Indian Head Massage 

Indian Head Massage is based on the ancient traditions of massage and the ‘Ayurvedic’ system of healing that has been practiced in India for thousands of years. This safe, simple and wonderfully relaxing therapy is very effective at relieving aches, pains, stress and rebalancing energy flow to provide a deep sense of peace, calm and tranquillity.  This is a truly holistic therapy incorporating mind, body and spirit and although called ‘Indian HEAD Massage’, the treatment does also include massage work to the upper back, shoulders, arms and neck.

Hopi Ear Candling                                                       

‘Hopi’ Ear Candling – also known as Thermo Auricular Therapy has been practised by many ancient civilisations such as the Aztecs, the Aborigines and the Egyptians.   This pleasant and completely natural treatment has been handed down through the ages in oral form and today the physical healing qualities of heat and herbs such as Chamomile and Sage are used to help conditions such as sinus issues and nasal breathing.  Other conditions which can also benefit from this treatment include headaches, excessive ear wax, glue ear, tinnitus, sore throats, hay fever and vertigo.

Holistic Massage                       

The use of massage has been recorded in China as far back as 3000BC and was used for the promotion and restoration of health as well as for relaxation.  This wonderful holistic treatment uses the hands to manipulate the soft tissues of the body particularly the muscles to promote suppleness, improved circulation and stress reduction.  It is soothing, comforting and wonderfully relaxing.
